European stocks up, oil slides as concerns ease over Russia-Turkey tension 5:14am EST

LONDON European stocks moved higher and oil prices reversed course and fell 1 percent on Wednesday as investors' concerns eased over the potential fallout of Turkey's shooting down of a Russian fighter jet.

Turkey looks to cool tensions with Russia

ISTANBUL - President Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey did not want any escalation after it shot down a Russian fighter jet, saying it had acted simply to defend its own security and the "rights of our brothers" in Syria.  Full Article

E. coli scare at Costco
