Gates sold 100,000 Univision shares-SEC filing

WASHINGTON Jan 5 (Reuters) - The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation sold 100,000 shares of Univision Communications Inc. UVN.N Class A common stock on Dec. 18, according to a U.S. regulatory filing on Friday.

The foundation said it sold its remaining stake in Univision, which is in the process of being acquired by private investors, for an average of $35.34 per share in open market transactions.

The transaction was disclosed in a filing made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
