Apple to drop "Computer" from company name

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Apple Computer Inc. Chief Executive Steve Jobs said on Tuesday the iPod maker would drop "Computer" from the company's name.
Jobs made the announcement at the annual Macworld conference, where the company also introduced an eagerly anticipated iPhone.
