Teva says generic Aciphex gets FDA approval

Feb 22 (Reuters) - Israel's Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA.O) said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted final approval for its 20 mg Rabeprazole Sodium delayed-release tablets.

The drug is a generic version of Japanese company Eisai Co.'s (4523.T) acid pump inhibitor Aciphex, which has annual sales of $1.3 billion, Teva, one of the world's largest generic drugmakers, said in a statement. (Reporting by Kuncheria Cholemkeril in Bangalore)
