NEW YORK, March 16 (Reuters) - Oil-tanker company OMI Corp. OMM.N is expected to announce a plan to consider its strategic options, a course that could lead to the sale of the company, The Wall Street Journal said on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The announcement could come within a matter of days, the paper reported, and is expected to include the naming of banks Perella Weinberg Partners and Norwegian firm Fearnley Fonds ASA as advisers, the Journal said.
