White House predicts Wolfowitz will keep his job
WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Friday underscored its support for World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz and predicted he would survive an ethics scandal involving promotions given to his girlfriend.
"The president has full confidence in Paul Wolfowitz," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino told a news briefing. "We expect him to remain as World Bank president."
