OSLO (Reuters) - Norway aims to become the first nation to offset all of its greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said on Thursday.

"Norway would be the first country in the world to take on such a concrete measure," he told a meeting of his Labour Party.

He said that the government of Norway, the world's number five oil exporter, also planned to cut emissions by 30 percent by 2020, tougher than a unilateral European Union goal of at least a 20 percent reduction.
