TOKYO May 1 (Reuters) - All Nippon Airways (ANA) (9202.T), Japan's No. 2 airline, said on Tuesday it would outsource some air cargo flights to U.S. freight airline company ABX Air Inc. ABXA.O to help it expand its cargo business.

ANA said the deal would mark the first time a Japanese airline outsourced cargo flights to a foreign firm.

In a statement, ANA said ABX Air would operate 22 round-trip flights starting on May 15. Most of the flights will be between Kansai International Airport in Osaka and a handful of major cities including Beijing, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

ANA did not say how much revenue it expected to generate from the flights or give financial details of its deal with ABX Air.
