Mini hip-hop mogul focus of reality show
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Move over, Diddy. A would-be hip-hop mogul is coming to television, and he wants a hit label before he hits puberty.
Nine-year-old rapper Big Korey hopes to be the subject of a reality TV show that will track his efforts to launch a music label.
The pint-sized prodigy will both sign new talent and develop his own music. The project's producers, who include Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris, will begin pitching broadcast and cable networks within the next few weeks.
"He's amazing," Ludacris said. "He's someone that I will definitely be working with in the future."
At his tender age, Big Korey already has worked with hip-hop icons Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin and Jazze Pha.
