U.S. approves Barr generic version of Roche's Vesanoid

June 22 (Reuters) - Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. BRL.N said U.S. regulators approved its generic version of Roche Laboratories Inc.'s Vesanoid capsules, used to treat a form of leukemia.

Barr said it plans to launch 10 mg capsules of tretinoin immediately. Vesanoid had sales of $24 million in the year to April, the company said.

Roche Laboratories is a subsidiary of Swiss drug maker Roche Holdings AG (ROG.VX)
