Creaky start to "Hate My 30s" on VH1
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - VH1's "I Hate My 30s" got off to a slow start Thursday night.
The comedy series averaged 418,000 total viewers in its debut at 10:30 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research.
Compared with other recent VH1 series premieres, that was off significantly. The new relationship-themed reality series "Rock of Love" and "Scott Baio Is 45 . . . and Single" debuted July 15 to 1.6 million and 1.2 million total viewers, respectively.
"I Hate My 30s" also didn't match the debut of VH1's first scripted comedy offering, last year's "So Notorious," which averaged 1.1 million viewers over its two-episode premiere in April 2006. During its entire run, "So Notorious" averaged 763,000 viewers.
VH1 has set ratings records in the past year with such series as "Flavor of Love 2," whose season premiere averaged 3.3 million in August, and "Flavor of Love" spinoff "I Love New York," which drew 4.4 million in its January debut.
