(Reuters) - Five facts about Merv Griffin -- singer, talk show host, game show creator and real estate mogul -- who has died at age 82.
* In addition to creating the television trivia game show "Jeopardy," Griffin wrote the familiar "thinking" music played as contestants mull their final questions. He estimated it earned him more than $80 million in royalties.
* Griffin was an honorary pall bearer at the state funeral for former President Ronald Reagan, whom he befriended when they were young actors.
* Griffin said Rose Kennedy, the matriarch of the Kennedy political family, was the only guest on his talk show who ever intimidated him.
* Denny Terrio, host of the Griffin-produced television show "Dance Fever" in the 1980s, sued Griffin for sexual harassment in 1991 but the case was dismissed.
* Griffin once sublet Marlon Brando's New York apartment, according to Rolling Stone magazine.
