(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 3:30 p.m. British time on Sunday:

* SAMARRA - U.S. forces said they bombed a house in the

city of Samarra after fighters attacked them, and police said five children and two women were among the dead. The military said 12 militants had taken refuge in the house.

* BAGHDAD - U.S. forces killed 11 militants and detained six during operations targeting al Qaeda in Iraq west and north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - The bodies of 10 people were found in Baghdad on Saturday, police said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed a female pilgrim and wounded six, including three children, in a drive-by shooting in the southern Doura district of Baghdad, police said. The victims had been heading to the holy city of Kerbala.

KIRKUK - A roadside bomb killed a female shepherd and a number of her cattle in southern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi army killed eight militants and detained 81 during the last 24 hours in different areas of Iraq, the Defence Ministry said.
