Novartis generic anaemia drug on sale in weeks-FT
ZURICH, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Swiss drugmaker Novartis AG (NOVN.VX) expects its cut-price version of the anaemia drug epoetin alfa, or EPO, to go on sale in the UK and Germany in coming weeks, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.
Andreas Rummelt, head of Novartis' Sandoz generics unit, said the drug was likely to be priced about 25 percent to 30 percent cheaper than the original medicine, the FT wrote.
The drug was granted European approval at the end of August.
