D.Telekom to buy SunCom Wireless for $1.6 bln
FRANKFURT |
FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Deutsche Telekom (DTEGn.DE) said on Monday its mobile phone division T-Mobile USA had agreed to buy SunCom Wireless for about $1.6 billion.
Deutsche Telekom said in a statement it saw synergies from the transaction of about $1 billion and that it will also take on SunCom debt obligations of almost $800 million.
The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2008.
