(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 0600 GMT on Thursday.

BAGHDAD - Eight bodies were found in different areas of Baghdad on Wednesday, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a police commando patrol killed one policeman and wounded three near al-Shaab National Stadium in central Baghdad, police said.

TARMIYA - U.S. and Iraqi forces killed al Qaeda military adviser Abu Yaqub al-Masri during a raid on August 31 near Tarmiya, just north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. Al-Masri was behind coordinated car bombings which killed 202 people in Baghdad's Sadr City last November, they said. He was also associated with al Qaeda deputy commander Ayman al-Zawahri and former al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
