MIAMI (Reuters) - Tom Brady threw a career-high six touchdown passes, including five in the first half, as the unbeaten New England Patriots crushed the winless Miami Dolphins 49-28 on Sunday.

Brady passed for an impressive 291 yards in a 42-7 Patriots's first-half lead and had 354 yards passing for the game as New England improved to 7-0. Miami dropped to 0-7.

Brady completed his first 11 passes and was 16 of 19 passes in the first half and 21 of 25 for the game. He now has 27 touchdown passes this season.

Randy Moss and Wes Welker each caught two touchdown passes.

Moss hauled in tosses of 35 and 50 yards for second-quarter scores. He caught four passes for 122 yards for the game.

Welker had a 14-yard score from Brady in the second quarter, then caught Brady's 16-yard pass for a fourth-quarter touchdown. He had nine receptions for 138 yards.

Brady also threw 30 yards to Donte Stallworth and two to Kyle Brady for first-quarter touchdowns.

Willie Andrews returned a kick 77 yards for New England's other touchdown.

*Rob Bironas kicked an NFL record eighth field goal as time expired as the Tennessee Titans (4-2) nipped the Houston Texans 38-36. Bironas's boot of 29 yards wiped out a 36-35 come-from-behind lead by the Texans (3-4), who scored their 29th point of the fourth quarter with 57 seconds left to play. Bironas had field goals of 52, 25, 21, 30, 28, 43, 29 and 29 yards to break the previous record of seven in a game.

*The New York Giants (5-2) won their fifth straight game, a 33-15 home victory over the San Francisco 49ers (2-4). The Giants defense forced four San Francisco turnovers and sacked 49ers quarterback Trent Dilfer six times.

*Rian Lindell kicked four field goals as the Buffalo Bills surprised the Baltimore Ravens 19-14. Marshawn Lynch had the only touchdown for the Bills (2-4). The Ravens fell to 4-3.

*Clinton Portis scored twice on short runs as the Washington Redskins (4-2) held off the Arizona Cardinals 21-19. Leonard Pope caught a one-yard pass from Tim Rattay for the Cardinals (3-4) with 21 seconds remaining, but a pass for a two-point conversion and a regulation tie failed.

*Drew Brees's two touchdown passes led the New Orleans Saints (2-4) to a 22-16 home win over the Atlanta Falcons (1-6).
