FX orders two seasons of 'Damages'

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - FX is bringing "Damages" back in a big way.

The cable network has ordered two seasons -- or 26 episodes -- of the legal thriller starring Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan. Season 2 is targeted to go into production in New York early next year, assuming the writers strike is settled.

"Damages," which wrapped its first season October 23, averaged 2.5 million total viewers per first-run episode, according to Nielsen Media Research.
