RCN Customers Get All the Action of NFL Network Games at No Extra
                                Charge
HERNDON, Va.--(Business Wire)--RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading provider of video, data,
and voice services to residential, small business and commercial
customers, announced today that all NFL Network games have or will be
carried on RCN's digital cable network this season.

   "RCN customers with Digital Vision Plus cable TV service are able
to see the game on NFL Network as part of their regular digital

   NFL Network and its live games appear on Channel 139 in Boston,
Channel 170 in Chicago; Channel 186 in Philadelphia and Channel 163 in
the Lehigh Valley area; Channel 175 in New York; and Channel 150 and
Channel 171 (HD) in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Live games
that feature teams from these local markets will be simulcast over the
air, but all home games are subject to the NFL's blackout
restrictions.
