ZURICH (Reuters) - Swiss bank UBS (UBSN.VX) Chairman Marcel Ospel does not plan to leave after the bank announced $10 billion in fresh subprime write-downs, Swiss media reported.

There was no pressure on Ospel to leave, nor did he intend to retire himself, Swiss news agency SDA said.

Ospel also said there were no plans for further job cuts at the bank, SDA said.
