Toshiba Unveils Comprehensive Line of Digital A/V Products at CES 2008

Consumer Products, L.L.C. ("Toshiba") announced today its full line of DVD
products for 2008 designed to enhance the video entertainment experience for
consumers. Leveraging its long heritage as a leading innovator in video
technologies, Toshiba's new 2008 DVD line-up delivers spectacular image
quality, enhanced connectivity features and sleek cosmetic designs at
attractive prices for the consumer.

Portable DVD Players
As the consumer demand for portability and convenience continues to grow,
Toshiba has enhanced its premium line-up of portable DVD players to include
new larger screen sizes, sleek cosmetic designs, extended battery life and
convenient swivel screens. The 10.2" and 9" models feature a high end brushed
metallic finish with chrome accents, making them an attractive travel
accessory for consumers who want the quality of the Toshiba brand.
Toshiba's top of the line SD-P101S features a large 10.2" widescreen LCD
swivel screen and a high resolution display of 800 x 400 pixels, offering
premium picture quality to consumers on the move. Allowing plenty of time to
enjoy movies, the SD-P101S offers approximately five hours of battery life.
With a 4-in-1 (SD, MMC, MS and xD) Memory Card slot, the SD-P101S is a
convenient travel partner to view digital photos. This model features Digital
Cinema Progressive scan output and is DivX(R) Home Theater Certified. Plus,
the SD-P101S comes complete with a car cord adapter, making it the perfect
mobile companion.
Toshiba also offers the SD-P91S, which has a 9" widescreen LCD swivel
screen, dual headphone outputs and supports WMA, MP3 and JPEG playback. Like
the SD-P101S, this portable model offers approximately five hours of battery
life, a car cord adapter and is DivX Home Theater Certified.
For the value-conscious consumer, Toshiba offers the SD-P71S featuring a
7" widescreen LCD with new rubberized black cabinet for a durable appearance
and solid feel. The player also features approximately three hours of battery
life, a car cord adaptor and supports WMA, MP3 and JPEG playback.
LCD TV/DVD Combos
As a market leader in TV combination models, Toshiba is enhancing its
lineup with the introduction of three new LCD televisions featuring slot
loading DVD players. Available in 19" and 22" (diagonal) screen sizes, each
set features a high gloss bezel and slim cabinet design, turning this
versatile TV into an attractive addition to any room of the home.
Toshiba's 22LV505 features a 22" (diagonal) widescreen LCD screen with
1680 x 1050 resolution and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Plus, it offers a fast
response speed of 5ms, making action scenes virtually pop off the screen. The
HDMI(TM) and PC inputs, along with a very thin chassis depth of just 2.95",
allow consumers to easily integrate this set into their home offices or
kitchens. Additionally, the 22LV505 supports WMA, MP3, JPEG and DIVX playback
to conveniently support any owner's favorite media.
Toshiba's 19LV505 offers a 19" (diagonal) widescreen LCD display.
Remarkably thin, this set touts a chassis depth of just 2.64", allowing it to
hang unobtrusively on a bedroom or bathroom wall or be placed inconspicuously
on the kitchen counter. Like its larger sibling, it offers an HDMI and PC
inputs and supports WMA, MP3, JPEG and DIVX Playback. This set also comes in
high gloss white as the 19LV506, allowing the owner to customize his or her
experience and match this versatile black or white 19" (diagonal) set to its
surroundings.
DVD Players
While promoting the transition to HD DVD, Toshiba will continue to offer
upconverting single deck DVD players to complement the value conscious
consumer's HDTV viewing experience. With upconversion to 720p, 1080i and
1080p resolution, Toshiba's SD-6100 provides near high-definition picture
quality via HDMI for a convenient single cable A/V connection. Additionally,
the SD-6100 also features REGZA(R) Link (HDMI CEC) for a simplified device
control using only one remote. The SD-6100 also offers digital cinema
progressive scan, ColorStream Pro(R) component video output, DivX Home Theater
Certification and offers WMA, MP3 and JPEG playback.
The entry level SD-4100 features digital cinema progressive scan,
ColorStream Pro component video output, offers JPEG and MP3 playback and is
DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW compatible. The player's sleek styling results
in a slim chassis design measuring a modest 43 millimeters in height.
DVD Recorders
Toshiba's new line of DVD Recorders all feature high definition
upconversion capabilities and convenient one touch recording to enable
consumers to easily integrate these models into their home theaters.
In single deck recorders, Toshiba's D-R410 single deck DVD recorder offers
1080p upconversion to near high-definition picture quality through HDMI, REGZA
Link, supports -R/RW and +R/RW recording and playback and includes a DV input
and MP3/JPEG playback. The step-up D-R560 adds to these features ATSC/NTSC
tuners and WMA and DivX playback. These two recorders also feature a high
gloss black cosmetic design -- a fine complement to the enthusiast's home
theater.
In DVD Recorder/VCR combination models, the D-VR660 is a multi-format DVD
recorder that offers 720p, 1080i and 1080p upconversion to near high-
definition picture quality through HDMI. It includes ATSC/NTSC tuners and
support for DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW recording and playback. As a combination
model with a 4 Head Hi-Fi VCR, the D-VR660 offers bi-directional dubbing.
Toshiba is also introducing the D-VR610, a similar solution that includes line
input to allow recording from cable boxes and satellite receivers.
