Detroit Area Journalist/Author Publishes Volume II on How to Stab Competitors
in the Back and Move Up the Career Ladder

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Still stalled in your
career for the last umpteen years or so?
If true, then it's obvious that you did not read Berl Falbaum's Definitive
Guide to Organizational Backstabbing published in 1994.
So, depending on your age, you get another chance because Falbaum has just
published The Definitive Guide to Organizational Backstabbing, Volume II.
"We published this," said Falbaum, "because we received l0,128,756 letters
asking us for more. So, how could we refuse?
"This guide contains some of the same information as in Volume I," he
said. "Why fix something that ain't broke? But it also contains new
information and letters we received from those who followed the advice in
Guide Volume I and are reaping the rewards.
"Volume II contains advice on how to cheat on expense accounts, how to
steal ideas from competitors, how to kiss up to the boss, and much, much
more."
Using biting humor and searing sarcasm, Falbaum said The Guides are really
books on ethics --- or the lack of ethics --- in the work environment and
national culture.
"Basically, we have said as a society, 'we don't care how you succeed,
just succeed'. As a result we have a work culture that thrives on politics
and dishonesty. This is true not only in large corporations but in businesses
with three or more employees."
The book can be ordered from the publisher at iUniverse.com; from
amazon.com; and it can be ordered at most bookstores.
Falbaum's career includes 10 years as a reporter at The Detroit News,
including five covering politics; four years as administrative aide to
Michigan's lieutenant governor; and 15 years as a corporate public relations
executive. He is president of Falbaum & Associates, Inc., a full-service
public relations firm that he founded in 1989.
He has also served as a columnist for the Spinal Column, a paper serving
northern Oakland County.
He has published five other books, including a novel, and one play that
was produced by the Theatre Guild Livonia-Redford (Michigan). He has taught
journalism part-time since 1968 at Wayne State University, and he also taught
at Oakland University for about 15 years.
