2007 Bookings Reach $195 Million

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CECO Environmental Corp.
(Nasdaq: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial
ventilation systems, announced today that it has received fourteen new orders
totaling approximately $7.3 million.
Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "These orders
were received by our CECO Abatement, H.M. White, Effox, Kirk & Blum, and GMD
Environmental subsidiaries. They represent new business secured in the
ethanol, automotive, power, and foundry industries, and also work at
facilities producing carbon fibers and specialized gasses. The largest of the
contracts is for energy management work at an automotive facility. We are
also especially pleased that one of the orders was secured by our newest
subsidiary, GMD Environmental of Fort Worth, Texas. Besides securing this new
business, GMD also brought with it a backlog equal to about half its annual
sales when it was acquired in November."
Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Bookings
for calendar year 2007 reached approximately $195 million. This compares
favorably with 2006 when bookings reached $200 million, especially considering
that this level was achieved due to a $55 million contract which was secured
in the last days of December. Our core business and bookings activity
continues to grow."
