Senomyx Announces Appointment of David Berger as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

SAN DIEGO, CA, Jan 15 (MARKET WIRE) --
Senomyx, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNMX), a leading company focused on using proprietary

for the packaged food and beverage industry, announced today the appointment
of David B. Berger to the position of Vice President, General Counsel and
Corporate Secretary. Mr. Berger has more than 12 years of experience advising
senior
managementand corporate boards of public and emerging growth companies in
biotechnology, medical diagnostics and information technology industries.

Mr. Berger's broad range of expertise includes commercial transactions,
intellectual
property licensing, domestic and international product commercialization, human
resources, and in-depth knowledge of SEC and NASDAQ reporting requirements.
Most recently, he held the position of Vice President, Legal Affairs at
Biosite Incorporated and was the managing attorney responsible for all
commercial
aspects of legal affairs. His prior experience includes serving as an
attorney with Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, where he functioned as outside general
counsel for an array of technology companies with respect to strategic
business and licensing transactions, as well as general corporate matters. Mr.
Berger received his J.D. at Stanford Law School and was granted a B.A. in
Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
