Zoomix's self-learning data management software. Novation will integrate the
Zoomix system with its existing product information management (PIM), spend
analysis and data warehouse systems to automate ongoing classification,
standardization and matching of millions of product data records.
Unlike alternative solutions, Zoomix Accelerator classifies product data
records into thousands of categories in any taxonomy without any custom
development effort. Zoomix Accelerator integrates a number of capabilities
into a unified system, all of which leverage a common metadata
infrastructure. The system classifies data into one or more taxonomies (e.g.,
UNSPSC as well as any custom taxonomy structure), identifies like products
(by extracting and identifying key product attributes and automatically
matching) and standardizes product descriptions and attributes in order to
increase the effectiveness of PIM implementations.
Zoomix was selected following extensive testing performed at Novation's
headquarters, using actual product data. Zoomix Accelerator provided
automatic classification results almost immediately, even for extremely
"dirty" data. Zoomix Accelerator's self-learning capabilities and "out of the
box" ease-of-use, quickly achieved a high degree of accuracy and "understood"
Novation's complex and highly variable product data, without any manual
