MphasiS Healthcare Solutions Expands Its Consumer Directed Health Offerings Through Partnership with WorldDoc

Health Plans, TPAs and Consumers to Benefit from Online Health
Assessment and Prevention Tools Promoting Appropriate, Cost-Effective
                               Self-Care
PHOENIX--(Business Wire)--Strengthening its commitment to expansion of its technology
platform and applications beyond claims administration to broader
employee health and benefits management, MphasiS Healthcare Solutions
(MHS) today announced that it entered a strategic partnership under
which WorldDoc Inc. will integrate its online health assessment and
prevention tools with MphasiS' online self-service solution. This
partnership enables both companies to separately offer a more
comprehensive and cost-effective solution to health plans,
third-party-administrators and employers, particularly those managing
consumer directed care initiatives.

Under the partnership, Las Vegas-based WorldDoc will use MphaSiS'
WEBeci solution to streamline access to its award-winning Health
Management System, allowing end-users to use a single user ID and
password to access interactive health tools and the online information
they need to better manage and make more informed healthcare
decisions. A turnkey solution that automates communication between a
health plan and its partners, WEBeci also will help WorldDoc's clients
reduce their administrative costs and improve operational
efficiencies. WEBeci, for example, allows providers and plan members
to check claim status; verify insurance eligibility; print benefit
plan documentation; search for and view provider information; and
perform various enrollment functions over a dedicated, secure,
private-labeled website.

"As the consumer directed healthcare movement grows, consumers
will use online decision support tools to assume greater control over
their care by accessing information about the quality and cost of
providers and healthcare services," said Tom Castleberry, vice
chairman of MHS. "As part of a strategic shift, MHS is committed to
expanding its technology platform and portfolio of applications from
claims administration to employee health and benefits management
tools, enabling its clients to thrive in the consumer driven
healthcare era that is fundamentally altering our industry."

The partnership with WorldDoc offers WEBeci clients access to a
wide range of decision support tools, allowing users to assess health
risks; evaluate symptoms to learn when self-care options are safe and
when they should seek immediate medical attention; compare
prescription prices and find generic alternatives to medications;
maintain online personal health records; research conditions and
treatments in an extensive online library written by physicians;
access a 24/7 nurse and triage care telephone line designed to augment
WorldDoc's online decision support tools; and access a database
providing profiles of hospital volume, cost and quality results for
hundreds of common procedures. In the future, users also will have
access to quality and cost of care modeling tools.

"Our consumer directed health (CDH) offering will provide a
cost-effective way for our clients to become more proactive and
involved in the health management of their members and employees,"
Castleberry said. "It is a win-win for all parties."

Stated Rahul Singal, MD, president and chief executive officer of
WorldDoc: "The partnership with MHS helps consumers bridge the
information silos between claims systems, benefit plans, personal
health records, and medications. MHS' leading-edge technology platform
greatly increases the value of our products and the experience of
members to our joint customers."
