SAN CARLOS, Calif. & DRESDEN, Germany--(Business Wire)--Alliance Memory, Inc. and ZMD AG announced today that Alliance
Memory (of San Carlos, California) has acquired from ZMD (a Dresden,
Germany company) its complete SRAM product line. The acquisition
involves the manufacturing rights, mask sets, IP and all remaining
inventory. Alliance Memory, Inc. will continue to offer former ZMD's
64k and 256k Low Power SRAM's in commercial, industrial, and
automotive temperature ranges.

Effective immediately, customers can purchase ZMD material from
Alliance Memory. Alliance Memory will provide long term support of
these legacy SRAM's to their worldwide customers. To facilitate a
smooth transition, Alliance will initially offer the ZMD products with
the current ZMD top mark and eventually will move to the Alliance
Memory marking later on.

"After numerous requests from customers for our SRAM ICs we are
glad to have found in Alliance Memory a partner, who will take over
our whole SRAM product portfolio as well as our technology. This way
we can ensure proper supply for our customers for the future," says
Dirk Behrens, Executive VP Marketing of ZMD AG. "The sale of our SRAM
product line allows us to fully focus our activities on expanding our
analog mixed-signal product portfolio in the sensor signal
conditioning, industrial automation and medical markets."

"I believe we have made a real statement to the market. In the
last two years we have acquired two SRAM companies, added a complete
Low Power SRAM line-up and established our own Testing facility in
Taiwan," says David Bagby, President and CEO of Alliance Memory. "The
addition of ZMD SRAM's shows yet another aggressive step by Alliance
Memory to be a long term and dedicated player in the legacy SRAM
market."

This acquisition further expands the LOW POWER product range that
Alliance Memory currently offers. This includes 64k, 256k, 1M, 2M and
4M in x 8 organization that is RoHS compliant. The packages offered
are in DIP, SOP and TSOP.
