Former AT&T Manager Relaunches TelephoneNumber.com with New Services

Create a website with free access to telephone numbers and addresses.
10 years after McManigal's website -- www.TelephoneNumber.com -- provided
customers with a free online telephone and address directory, it is
relaunching with a host of new, updated services. The site now gives users a
free website using their telephone number as a web address, provides free text
messaging, and offers an exclusive Yellow Pages advertising feature.

TelephoneNumber.com allows anyone with a telephone number to create a free
website, or to use their telephone number as a link to their existing website,
for example www.TelephoneNumber.com/212-555-1212.
"A plumber with no Internet experience can instantly have an online
presence using their telephone number as their web address," McManigal said.
Another new service is text messaging. Customers can log on to
TelephoneNumber.com and can send text messages to single recipients or groups
for free using their computer keyboards instead of their cell phones.
The site is also offering more paid advertising opportunities. Customers
can purchase ad space displayed during Yellow Pages keyword searches. So if a
customer searches the Yellow Pages for "Plumbers" in Miami using
TelephoneNumber.com, the advertiser who purchased that marketing keyword
"Plumbers" would automatically show up ahead of other regular listings.
Advertisers can purchase these static ads for $24.95 a month, but keywords are
limited to one advertiser per county.
TelephoneNumber.com is even developing a new, exclusive feature available
later this year that will allow customers to edit their 'White Page' telephone
number listing. Currently, the phone company displays just the customer's
name, number and address. TelephoneNumber.com customers will have complete
control over all information displayed and can add more information such as an
email address or cell number.
