Summit Partners Announces Five Promotions

BOSTON, PALO ALTO, Calif. and LONDON, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit
Partners, a private equity and venture capital firm that has raised nearly
$9 billion since inception, today announced five promotions. In London,
Sotiris Lyritzis has been promoted to General Partner, and Christian Strain
has been promoted to Principal. In Boston, Thomas Jennings has been promoted
to General Partner, and Peter Connolly has been promoted Principal. In Palo
Alto, Greg Goldfarb has been promoted to Principal.

Summit Partners' position as a leading growth equity investor," said Bruce R.

Mr. Lyritzis, who joined Summit Partners in 2002, previously held the
position of Principal. His board directorships and investments include Actix,
DEDON, IGEFI Group, Jamba!, SafeBoot Holdings, Web Reservations International,
and Welltec International. Prior to Summit, Mr. Lyritzis was a co-founder of
eLabsEurope AG, a Munich-based Internet procurement solution for the European
life sciences industry. Prior to that, he held various positions at JPMorgan.
Mr. Lyritzis holds a B.A. from Cambridge University and an M.B.A. from the
Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.
Mr. Strain joined Summit Partners in 2005 as Vice President. His board
directorships and investments include Vente-Privee.com. Prior to Summit, he
worked for Apax Partners in Paris, where he was a member of the n Technology
team. Mr. Strain earned a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the
Harvard Business School.
Mr. Jennings previously held the position of Principal. He joined Summit
Partners' Boston office as an Associate in 1997, became a Senior Associate in
2000, and served as Vice President from 2001 until 2005. His board
directorships and investments include Anesthetix Holdings, AvePoint, Burst
Media, Commnet Wireless, FedMed, Fermentas International, Hatcher Associates,
NameMedia, Nomacorc, Paragon Computer Professionals, Sage Telecom, and Unica
Corporation. Prior to Summit, Mr. Jennings worked at Andersen Consulting.  He
holds an A.B. from Boston College.
Mr. Connolly, who joined Summit Partners in 2004, previously held the
position of Vice President. His board directorships and investments include
Bartlett Holdings and Aurora Diagnostics. Prior to Summit, Mr. Connolly was
with Goldman Sachs & Company where he worked in the consumer, healthcare, and
general industrial sectors. Previously, he worked for Deloitte & Touche. Mr.
Connolly holds a B.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame
and an M.B.A., with distinction, from the Stern School of Business at New York
University.
Mr. Goldfarb previously held the position of Vice President. He joined
Summit Partners as an Associate in 2002, was promoted to Senior Associate in
2003, and became a Vice President in 2005.  His board directorships and
investments include IntelliChem, LiveOffice Holdings, ProClarity Corporation,
The Mutual Fund Store, and Web Reservations International Limited.  Prior to
Summit, Mr. Goldfarb worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.  He holds
an A.B. from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
