SANFORD, N.C.--(Business Wire)--The Pantry, Inc. (NASDAQ:PTRY), the leading independently operated
convenience store chain in the southeastern U.S., today announced that
it will host a conference call at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time on January
31, 2008. The purpose of the call will be to provide interested
parties with first quarter fiscal year 2008 results. The Pantry, Inc.
will release financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended
December 27, 2007 before the market opens on January 31, 2008.

The conference call will be broadcast live over the Internet and
will be accessible at www.thepantry.com or www.companyboardroom.com. A
