Company continues to offer healthcare providers more choice in the
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Market
CHICAGO--(Business Wire)--Medela Healthcare, Inc., a global medical technology and
breastfeeding organization, today announced the launch of the Medela
ValuFlex(TM) Institutional Rental Program.
Medela's ValuFlex program is a rental plan that allows healthcare
facilities to lease Medela's Invia(TM) Healing System, a negative
pressure wound therapy (NPWT) system used to safely and effectively
heal chronic and acute wounds. The ValuFlex program is designed to
help maximize healthcare providers' return on investment by providing
a more affordable, low maintenance way to provide quality wound care
to patients.
"As medical technology continues to evolve, our ValuFlex customers
will always have access to the newest, cutting-edge wound care
equipment on the market," said Bernie Laurel, vice president, Medela
Healthcare Americas. "ValuFlex allows healthcare providers and its
customers access to the highest quality wound care products that meet
their needs at any given time."
Medela's ValuFlex(TM) leased equipment rates range from $69 to $50
a day based on continuous rental on a specific aspirator. In addition
to offering healthcare providers active savings, the ValuFlex program
requires no commitments on length of rental or volumes, and the
program is billed retroactively. The use of retroactive billing allows
facilities to control their cash flow for up to 120 days following
placement of the pump.
Medela's Invia Healing System was introduced to the market earlier
this year. The system's infection-preventing dual mechanism includes
antimicrobial properties and an advanced wound dressing kit that
controls infection and promotes healing. The system can be leased by
extended care, long term care, and home care health providers.
"We're committed to improving the life of patients by offering the
NPWT market increased choice with flexible-priced, high-quality,
products," adds Laurel.
