Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares

Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at an Annual
General Meeting on 19 April 2007 to make market purchases of the Company's own
ordinary shares of 5p each, a market purchase of 110,000 ordinary shares in the
capital of the Company was made today at a price of 157.50p per share.

Following this purchase and cancellation there are 170,221,407 ordinary shares
in issue.

The issued share capital of the Company following this purchase is 170,221,407
ordinary shares of 5p each. The figure to be used as the denominator for
calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights is 170,221,407 as on a
poll ordinary shareholders have one vote for every 5p in nominal value.
