                         EDINBURGH UK TRACKER TRUST PLC


On 15 January 2008, Edinburgh UK Tracker Trust plc bought back 25,000 ordinary
shares for cancellation at a price of 258.5 pence per share.  Following the buy
back, there are 109,326,133 ordinary shares in issue. The share buy-back will be
financed out of the capital reserve.
