ABERDEEN NEW DAWN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK

On 15 January 2008, Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC purchased 14,000
shares of its own 25p ordinary shares at 553.35789 pence per share.  These
shares will be held in treasury. Following the transaction, the Company's issued
ordinary share capital is 24,988,402 (excluding treasury shares) and 25,387,133
(including treasury shares) ordinary shares of 25p each.  The number of ordinary
shares of 25p held in treasury is 398,731.
