will defend its reputation as the best pro-wrestling action in the world when
it travels halfway around the globe to invade the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan
as TNA presents "Global iMPACT!," a one-hour television event this Thursday,
January 17 at 11:00 PM, ET/PT, following "TNA iMPACT!" (9:00 - 11:00 PM,
ET/PT) only on Spike TV.

    "Global iMPACT!" promises professional wrestling fans unprecedented access
to the in-ring action from Japan as well as a backstage pass to all the
behind-the-scenes events as two distinct cultures collide in a one hour
television event unlike any other in the history of professional wrestling.
Fans will get a first-person perspective as cameras will follow the superstars
of TNA before and after their matches, through press tours, airports and
hotels and showcase life on the road.

    Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, the reigning TNA and IWGP World
Heavyweight Champion, will defend his worldwide reputation as "the greatest
athlete in pro wrestling" against challenger Yuji Nagata, who holds the third-
longest world title reign in IWGP history. Nagata will attempt to once again
become IWGP Champion in front of his home crowd in Tokyo.
    Angle will be joined by TNA superstars "The Instant Classic" Christian
Cage, "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles, Abyss, Team 3D, Tomko, Petey Williams and
the Steiner Brothers, as they take on the best professional wrestlers Japan
can offer.
