Talima Therapeutics Hires Martin Babler as President and Chief Executive Officer

SAN CARLOS, Calif., Jan. 15, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Talima Therapeutics, a
drug delivery company located in San Carlos California, announced that it has
recruited Martin Babler to assume the position of President and Chief Executive
Officer. The company has developed a patented drug delivery technology that can
be used to treat a variety of conditions.
"Martin brings to Talima the ideal combination of skills and successful
experiences that will help guide the company as we pursue regulatory approval
for Talima's breakthrough drug delivery technology," said board member and
investor Fred Dotzler of De Novo Ventures.
Most recently, Martin was a senior executive at Genentech where he served in
various management positions for the past eight years. While Vice President of
Immunology Sales and marketing, he oversaw successful launches of both Xolair
and Rituxan, and built and managed high-powered marketing and sales teams.
Previously he was Senior Director of Commercial Development where he and his
team of professionals, in close collaboration with R&D helped manage and prepare
the Genentech product pipeline for successful launches.
Prior to Genentech, Mr. Babler worked at Eli Lilly and Company in various U.S.
and international strategic positions in sales, marketing and business
development. He is a graduate of the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland with a degree in
Pharmaceutical Science.
