OLATHE, KS, Jan 15 (MARKET WIRE) --
Greg Orman, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Kansas, recently launched
his official campaign website, www.voteorman.com, which features Web 2.0
technology and social networking pages. Supporters can view Orman's stance on
important issues from healthcare to the economy and subscribe to his
frequently updated video and text blogs.
Orman, an Olathe businessman and entrepreneur, filed his Statement of
Candidacy with the Federal Elections Commission in December, making him an
official United States Senate candidate in the 2008 Kansas Election.
Orman said his decision to run was driven by a deep concern for the path the
country is on. "We have serious issues that need to be addressed, but
unfortunately our current leaders in Washington are failing to take the steps
necessary to tackle these difficult issues," said Orman. Watch Orman's video:

Orman founded Environmental Lighting Concepts (ELC) with the mission to help
businesses become more energy efficient. While Orman was at the helm of ELC,
the company installed energy-saving lighting systems that have led to a
cumulative reduction of more than one million tons of emissions -- roughly
equivalent to removing 20,000 automobiles from the road forever. See Orman's
energy policy position:

In 1997, Orman moved ELC to Kansas and sold 70 percent of the company to KLT
Energy Services Inc., a subsidiary of Kansas City Power & Light. Orman agreed
to join KLT as an executive focused on new business development. Since joining
KLT and
subsequently leading his own company, Denali Partners, Orman has directly
assisted numerous small businesses in their efforts to grow and compete in the
global marketplace. Read Orman's bio:
