Environmental Sciences/Permitting Specialist Will Enable Firm to Offer
Environmental and Wetlands Science Services Directly to Clients

BOSTON, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Wetlands/environmental sciences and
permitting specialist Christopher M. Lucas has joined Cubellis, a national
architectural, interior design, and engineering firm.  Skilled in wetland
delineations, wildlife habitat evaluations and analysis, rare and endangered
species assessments, and preparation of documents associated with
environmental permit applications, Mr. Lucas will work out of the firm's
Weymouth, Massachusetts office.

    During his career, Mr. Lucas has prepared documentation for federal and
state permits including NEPA, EPA NPDES, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Section
404), DEP (various permits including Water Quality Certification), Department
of Conservation and Recreation (Variance from the Watershed Protection Act),
MEPA, DEP Waterways (Chapter 91) and Massachusetts Wetlands Protection
Regulations.  Additionally, Mr. Lucas has conducted extensive local
environmental permitting within New England.  Chris has worked on a variety of
projects ranging from commercial and residential development to municipal and
state roadway/railway projects.  Chris has also been highly involved with the
permitting necessary for the telecommunication industry.
    Drawing upon his extensive background in ecology, wildlife biology, marine
biology, ornithology, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Mr. Lucas will
be responsible at Cubellis for the preparation and coordination of the
environmental science aspects of a wide variety of project types across the
firm's practice groups.

mist-netting of birds, point counts, nest-monitoring, vernal pool surveys and
radio telemetry of various endangered turtle species.
