Clear Choice Health Plans Announces Retirement of Board Founding Member, Dr. Michael Kendrick

BEND, Ore.--(Business Wire)--Clear Choice Health Plans, Inc. (OTCBB:CCHN) today announced that
Dr. Michael Kendrick, 64, has retired from the company's board of
directors, effective December 31, 2007. Dr. Kendrick has served on the
board since the company's founding in 1995 and as the company's
president and chairman of the board from 1995 through 2005. He retired
from private practice in neurosurgery in 2003.

grown to serve nearly 50,000 current members in Central Oregon and the

For nearly 30 years, Dr. Kendrick served the rapidly growing
medical needs of Central Oregon. In addition to his neurosurgical
practice in Bend from 1979 until 2003, Dr. Kendrick spearheaded the
founding of The Central Oregon Independent Practice Association
(COIPA) in 1994 and Central Oregon Independent Health Services, Inc.
in 1995, known today as Clear Choice Health Plans. Ms. Gibford noted
that Dr. Kendrick was instrumental in securing a contract for the
company to serve Central Oregon participants under the Oregon Health
Plan and in establishing a partnership with the Central Oregon
Hospital Network (CONet) in 1996. His vision to serve the needs of
Medicare beneficiaries led to the company being the first
provider-sponsored health organization in the U.S. to secure a
Medicare-Advantage contract with the Federal Center for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS). The company added commercial plans in 2001
and today provides a full range of products to large and small
employers as well as individuals.
