LONDON Jan 15 (Reuters) - Britain's Northern Foods NFDS.L NFDS.L, maker of Goodfella's pizzas and Fox's biscuits, said on Tuesday underlying revenue in the third quarter increased by 3.5 percent versus the same period last year.

The Leeds-based firm, which also makes sandwiches and ready meals for Marks and Spencer (MKS.L), said this reflected a 3.5 percent increase in average prices and unchanged volumes.

The company also said trading performance in the third quarter was in line with its board's expectations.
