Macworld Opens with Major New Product Announcements

Macworld Exhibitors, Including Digital Lifestyle Outfitters,
Lenntek, Microsoft, NEC, Nova Media, Samsung and SMART Technologies,
Expected to Unveil Latest Innovations at San Francisco's Moscone
Center
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(Business Wire)--IDG World Expo today announced the opening of the much anticipated
2008 Macworld Conference & Expo(R). During the event, which runs from
January 14-18, 2008, at San Francisco's Moscone Center, more than 450
companies -- including more than 100 companies exhibiting at Macworld
for the first time -- will be showcasing the latest innovations for
the Mac and iPod. Many of these exhibitors are expected to announce
the public debut and general availability of their newest solutions. A

Highlights of the many new products expected to be launched or
featured at Macworld this year include:
Ciprico Inc. (Booth# W-4336): Ciprico will launch the MediaVault
5116 Solution for Mac OS X. Users will now be able to greatly enhance
video production and content-creation projects with the ultimate in
performance, flexibility and reliability.
Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (Booth# S-732): DLO announces the
HomeDock Deluxe 3.0 with on-TV navigation for iPod. The revitalized
graphical interface allows users to navigate and enjoy iPod content on
their TV screen. The product now features high-definition component
video output and digital audio for the ultimate home theater iPod
experience.
DisplayLink (Booth# W-4238): DisplayLink is introducing its USB
network display technology for Mac OS X that will allow Mac users to
connect additional displays using USB. For users of Intel-based Mac
mini, iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook and Mac Pro, this marks the first
time they can expand their workspace with two or more displays using
the easy "plug & display" of USB.
Gridlock, LLC (Booth# S-1338): Gridlock LLC is introducing
"tooble," new software that enables users to put any YouTube video
onto their iPod, iPhone or Apple TV automatically. Tooble was
developed by high school students from Cheshire Academy in Connecticut
as part of a course for advanced computer science students. The Mac
version of the software will be available for free at Gridlock's
booth.
IntelliScanner SOHO (Booth# S-437): IntelliScanner is launching
IntelliScanner SOHO, a smart, portable barcode scanner that helps
users organize every aspect of their small business. Simply scan the
barcode to organize assets, inventory, media and more. IntelliScanner
SOHO works with included software or third-party applications like
FileMaker Pro, Bento, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and MYOB.
Lenntek Corporation (Booth# S-203): Lenntek Corporation will debut
the 3rd generation of the Hookup- Lanyard, which wirelessly connects
the iPod nano or iPod touch to a cell phone using caller ID enabled
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR technology. Lenntek also plans to release a new
xD860 iPod Docking station with WiFi streaming capability at Macworld.
Marketcircle Inc. (Booth# S-2538): Marketcircle will preview
Daylite 3.7 with new connectors to FileMaker, LightSpeed and
MoneyWorks, as well as Daylite Delivery, a powerful report
collaboration and sender tool. Daylite is the only Mac-based
productivity management application that helps Mac-based organizations
of 1-to-50 people at every stage of the business cycle and takes
advantage of Apple's Sync Services to bring Daylite contacts,
appointments, tasks, and reminders to iPhone, iPod and many other
popular mobile devices.
mDialog (Booth# W-4540): mDialog.com is a new online video
platform that enables users to upload and deliver h.264
high-resolution video to the Mac, iPhone, iPod or Apple TV through its
exclusive mLoader application, which encodes and uploads videos in a
super-fast and super-easy way. mDialog includes features such as
narrowcasting to invited audiences, broadcasting to the public at
large and an innovative pay-per-download model to help filmmakers
monetize their work.
Microsoft (Booth# S-1112): Microsoft is launching Office 2008 for
Mac, the first Universal Office version created for both PowerPC- and
Intel-based Macs. Office 2008 has been redesigned to provide a
simplified user experience that lets beginners or expert users easily
create and share professional, compatible documents with their friends
and co-workers on Macs and PCs.
NEC Display Solutions (Booth# S-2438): NEC is announcing the
availability of the 30" MultiSync LCD3090WQXi wide-screen display,
which delivers new, innovative technology for high-end workers in the
medical, graphics, financial, pre-production film and broadcast
industries.
NetXposure (Booth# S-432): NetXposure will be announcing Leopard
compatibility in the 5th version of the company's Digital Asset
Management solution. The support of 64-bit Java in Leopard will enable
Apple creative professionals with large media files to experience
increased processing performance.
Nexsan (Booth# W-4138): Nexsan will be unveiling the SATABeast(TM)
Xi storage solution for the Apple Xserve market. This high-performance
plug-and-play solution extends and complements existing Xserve storage
options. Nexsan SATABeast Xi comes with AutoMAID(TM) (Massive Array of
Idle Disks), allowing it to conserve energy yet provide
near-instantaneous access to data.
Nova Media (Booth# S-1338): Nova Media is announcing the release
of Fone2Phone for Mac OS X. Fone2Phone is a sleek utility for new
iPhone users that will copy data from an ordinary cell phone to a Mac
in one streamlined operation, making iPhone migration much simpler.
reQall (Booth# S-1338): reQall allows people to record reminders
or even short conversations and then be automatically reminded of them
weeks, months or even years later. reQall deploys speech recognition
software to transcribe audio data into text and then uses advanced
search and retrieval tools to find specific information.
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (Booth# S-1237): Samsung is
introducing XL30, the world's first 30-inch LED backlit monitor.
Designed for the most sensitive of color critical applications, the
XL30 supports users that demand extremely accurate color temperature,
linearly color tracking brightness uniformity and color reproduction.
SMART Technologies, Inc. (Booth# S-2508): SMART will unveil a new
version of its popular Notebook(TM) collaborative learning software.
Notebook software 10 will include more than thirty exciting new design
and delivery features that will help teachers add even more
interactivity and multimedia components to lessons they conduct on
SMART Board(TM) interactive whiteboards and Mac computers. In
addition, SMART will debut the latest version of the SMART Board 600i
interactive whiteboard system designed for teachers who want the
