California Council for Environmental and Economic Balance Votes to Support Proposition 93

SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)--The California Council for Environmental and Economic Balance
("CCEEB") has endorsed Proposition 93, the term limits reform
initiative, which will appear on the February ballot.

CCEEB President Gerald D. Secundy announced the recent action of
the organization's board of directors. "CCEEB's coalition of business,
labor, and the public recognizes quite clearly that the current system
needs to be modified in order to ensure stable, well-informed, and
focused leadership. Our fiscal, economic, and environmental challenges
are significant and require that our legislators have the opportunity
to dig into the issues without the constant threat of job termination
or the lure of another political opportunity. We recommend that the
people of California vote for Proposition 93 as a modest step in the
right direction."

The California Council for Environmental and Economic Balance was
formed in 1973 by the late Gov. Edmund G. "Pat" Brown as a coalition
of California business, labor and public leaders to advance
collaborative strategies for a sound economy and a healthy
environment. As the only statewide private, nonprofit, nonpartisan
association to represent the interests of both industry and labor,
CCEEB takes pride in its ability to achieve results by bringing
creative and effective solutions to the forefront of policy debate.
