Indonesian stocks fall more than 3 percent

JAKARTA Jan 16 (Reuters) - Indonesian stocks fell more than 3 percent in early trade on Wednesday, tracking a tumble by markets across Asia on concerns about a recession in the United States.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange index .JKSE opened 2.6 percent lower at 2,659.06 points, but fell more than 3 percent in early trade, led by blue chips such as telecom firm PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM.JK) and car distributor Astra International Tbk (ASII.JK).
