French strike cuts 1,500 MW of nuclear capacity-CGT

PARIS Jan 22 (Reuters) - French strikers cut some 1,500 megawatts of nuclear power capacity and the reduction could reach 2,000 MW later on Tuesday, energy union CGT said.

"There has been a 1,500 MW reduction in capacity and expectations show that it could rise to 2,000 MW," a union member told Reuters

"However, it shouldn't go beyond 2,000 MW today so it's a rather small drop in capacity," he added. (Reporting by Sybille de La Hamaide, editing by James Jukwey)
