ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched a 72-hour
sale with fares starting as low as $39*. Travelers may purchase these sale
fares at http://www.airtran.com or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at
1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.
These special fares are available for purchase through January 24, 2008,
and are good for travel through May 20, 2008. Off-peak fares are valid for
travel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Peak fares are valid for travel on
Monday, Thursday and Friday. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included
in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip
purchase or an overnight stay.

*All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per
person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase
in airfare. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an AirTran
Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $7.50 per person.
Ten-day advance purchase required. Tickets must be purchased by January 24,
2008. Sale fares are valid for travel through May 20, 2008. Lowest
advertised fares are available for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and
Saturdays. Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Thursdays,
and Fridays. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be
available on all flights. Blackout dates are as follows: February 14-15, 18
and March 20-21, 24. Travel is not valid to/from Florida as follows: February
14-15, 18; March 12-April 1; Travel is not valid from Boston: February 14-15,
18; March 20-21, 24; April 17-21; Travel is not valid to Boston: February 14-
15, 18; March 20-21, 24; April 24-28. Fares, routes, and schedules are
