EP GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES TRUST plc

The Company has been informed that Mr Richard Burns, a Director of EP Global
Opportunities Trust plc, purchased 50,000 Ordinary shares of the Company on
Monday 21 January 2008 at a price of 144 pence per share.

Mr Burns now has an interest in 427,000 Ordinary shares of the Company,
representing 1.26% of the issued Ordinary shares.
