Current Offers Socially Filtered, Dynamic News Feed for News, Video and Information on Facebook

Facebook Friends Act as Editors and Filters for Current.com News
SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)--Current, the world's peer-to-peer news and information network,
today announced that the social news feed from Current.com is now
available on Facebook through a Current News application. The
application allows users to influence their friends' Current news
feeds by voting on stories of interest on the designated Facebook
page. Users of the service benefit by quickly getting the most
relevant news and information important to them.

"Generic news feeds aren't enough anymore: people want content
that's been personalized, ideally by their friends. Current is
offering news and content in a way that reflects the nature of social
networks, through an automatic filtering process that happens through
sharing," said Joanna Drake Earl, President of New Media for Current.
"We're redefining the way people get the news that's most important to
them by creating high utility applications for social platforms."

To sign up for the Current News widget, users can go to
http://apps.facebook.com/currentnews/. Users can elect to have
Facebook friends who have installed the application influence their
news feeds when they sign up, or go to the "Choose Your Editors" link
at the top of the Current news feed page. Voting on a story will
affect the stories friends see in their own news feeds. Stories can
also be sent to friends by clicking on the "Share" button or by
posting them to a Facebook profile.
