Radware First-to-Market With SIP Director a Fully SIP-aware Intelligent
Application Delivery Controller
Based on the Award Winning AppDirector, SIP Director Provides Customers With
Carrier-Grade Performance
MAHWAH, New Jersey, January 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radware (NASDAQ:
RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for
business-smart networking, today announced the launch of the newest addition
to its application delivery product suite, SIP Director. A first-to-market
solution with a fully SIP-aware application delivery controller (ADC), SIP
Director is based on the company's award winning AppDirector and designed
specifically for SIP-based applications.
SIP deployment continues to grow rapidly with converged Web and VoIP
applications including application/feature servers, VoiceMail, IVRs,
messaging servers, conference applications, media servers, call center
applications and 911 services. As SIP adoption increases, SIP becomes more
and more mission critical thus, creating a need for vendors and system
integrators to provide carriers and operators with solutions supporting
carrier-grade requirements. This requirement imposes a great burden on
application and system development not typically addressed in the product
scope but left to be handled in the system integration phase.
"Radware's SIP Director addresses the needs of today's telecommunications
service providers that are seeking ways to constantly evolve their service
offerings in order to remain competitive," said Elisabeth Rainge, Program
Director, VoIP Infrastructure, IDC. "By leveraging advanced layer 4-7
policies SIP Director enables service providers to optimize VoIP and other
multimedia traffic flows through granular classification and control."
Radware's SIP Director guarantees SIP service delivery. The product stems
from 10 years of experience developing innovative products in the ADC space
encompassing high availability, optimized performance and complete security.
Designed with vendors, NEPs, system integrators and carriers in mind, SIP
Director was developed in response to the need to address SIP-specific
carrier-grade and security requirements and answers the need of collaboration
applications for a converged Web and VoIP application delivery.
"SIP Director was developed with current customer requirements in-mind
specifically for VoIP/SIP-based solutions." stated Amir Peles, CTO Radware.
"SIP Director provides the most scalable and carrier-grade performance on the
market with field proven deployments. It expands our leading carrier product
suite of solutions opening new and exciting opportunities for extending our
market reach."
"We at deltathree are excited about Radware's new SIP-based ADC
solution," stated Amos Shahar, Director of Engineering & Network Operations,
deltathree. "By integrating it into our SIP-based platform, we benefit from
its carrier-grade capabilities. Using Radware's SIP Director will enable us
to significantly reduce time-to-market and development efforts."
