GlobalOptions Group Signs Three Year, $3 Million Contract With Leading Workers Comp Provider
GlobalOptions to Serve as Exclusive Investigative Services
Provider
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI), a leading provider of
domestic and international risk management services, today announced
that it has entered into a three-year agreement to serve as the
exclusive provider of investigative services for an established
workers' compensation third-party administrator in Pennsylvania and a
Managed Care Organization (MCO) in New Jersey. The contract, which
begins in February, will have a potential revenue value of up to $3
million over the course of three years.
GlobalOptions' Fraud and SIU Services Division will perform
surveillance and background related investigations to assist the
client in exposing any case of potential insurance fraud.
GlobalOptions will also develop and host a customized web site that
will allow its client's claims staff to monitor cases from their
desktops - with real-time access via a secure web portal.
According to Halsey Fischer, President of GlobalOptions' Fraud and
SIU Services Division, the company will assist in the claims
investigation process. "Working hand in hand with our client, we will
begin providing surveillance and investigative expertise to their
claims department," said Mr. Fischer. "I'm confident that our capable
team and advanced technology will exceed their expectations and
provide cost efficiencies over time."
GlobalOptions will incorporate its state-of-the-art technology and
advanced business practices to enable the third-party
administrator/client to centralize its investigative efforts on a
national level and to minimize the impact of fraud on its customers.
