Freedom Interactive Announces a Wide-Ranging Redesign for All Newspaper and Television Web Sites
Consumer Study Drives Standards to Establish a New and Improved
Customer Experience for Freedom's National Network of Web Sites
IRVINE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--Today, Freedom Interactive, a division of Freedom Communications,
announced the launch of a wide-ranging redesign project across all of
its television stations and newspaper Web sites across the country. As
part of an overall strategic initiative focusing on delivering a
superior online experience across all Freedom Web sites, the redesign
will offer superior navigation, enhanced functionality and improved
site speed as well as new products and services.
The goal of the new Web redesign is to establish a new standard
for excellence across Freedom's network of more than 40 Web sites by
improving site speed, streamlining navigation and enhancing the design
as well as adding new content and functionality.
The new site redesign project is in response to an extensive
program of consumer research to ensure that Freedom's new site
structure incorporates the highest standards of usability, navigation
and design while providing relevant news and information as well as
the products and services that consumers requested.
"We believe in super-serving our customers, so we asked for their
feedback, guidance and direction. By listening to our customers and
responding to their needs, we now offer easier and faster interaction
with the news and information our customers care about. We are
committed to continually improving our Web site experience based on
our customers' needs and preferences. We are confident that our new
redesign project will enhance our users' interaction across our
network of Web sites," said Michael Mathieu, Freedom Interactive's
President.
Overall improvements of the redesign project include: easy access
to the most popular news stories of the day, prominent breaking news
headlines, improved search functionality and design, a
state-of-the-art video experience, enhanced classifieds products, the
ability to create your own blogs, and share photos with the community.
